Lost dogs and lost property

If you lose, or find, something at Warley Woods then let us know at the Pavilion.  We get lots of things handed in, like keys, dog leads, hats, golf clubs.  We currently have a children’s bike squeezed into the lost property area.  We are frequently able to reunite things with their owners, thanks to the kindness of people handing them in.  A recent innovation, means that we are now able to more efficiently reunite lost dogs with their owners.  Our Picnic Sponsor, Companion Care Vets of Oldbury donated their old identichip scanner to us, so if a dog is handed in, but doesn’t have an id-tag on it (actually required by law, but not everyone knows that) we can scan it and if it has a chip, contact the agency who will contact the owner.  This happened for the first time yesterday and an escapee hound was reunited with its very worried owner.  Thanks to Companion Care Vets we know we will ease the anxiety of many owners in future.
