Half term golf camp is running again, led by our golf pro Greg Lynch. This will be held on Tuesday 23rd, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th October. For children between 5 and 9 years the time will be from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm, and for those aged 10 to 16 years the times are 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm. All sessions are free, but places must be booked in advance by ringing the shop 429 2440. Thanks to Sandwell MBC for providing a grant for us to run the camp.
There will also be two Out to Play sessions in the park on Wednesday October 24th. Our Hallowe’en event this year is a spooky trail through the Woods (if you dare!). It will take place on Wednesday October 31st. Come along any time between 6 pm and 7.30 pm and start the trail. Last month we reminded people that the Padgham Room at the Pavilion is available for rent. We thought that it might be a good place for therapists to run sessions in a beautiful setting on a regular basis, much as the Community Acupuncture use St Mary’s church hall in Bearwood. If you’d like to consider this, please call at the office, or ring (420 1061) and discuss your requirements in more detail with Kathy or Viv.
Santa in the Woods takes place over the weekend of 8th/9th December. On Saturday there is Simply Santa where appointments can be booked to see Santa in advance (420 1061). On Sunday Santa will be arriving in his train in the Woods at 4 pm and progressing along the drive to the Pavilion where he will go to his grotto and see the children. There will also be other activities going on—so come and join the fun.
