New deal for Golfers

As the weather becomes warmer (hopefully), people are starting to dust off their golf clubs and get ready to play regularly.  Warley Woods Golf Course welcomes all players, whether just for a casual game of golf (pay and play) and those who want to play regularly, in competitions and have a handicap. (prices range from £5.35 to £9.25 for 9 holes for adults.)

This Spring, the Community Trust and Warley Woods Golf Club are co-launching a new deal to encourage more people to take their hobby on to new levels by joining the friendly Golf Club based here.

Membership costs just £50 for full membership and £30 for seniors/students and Juniors.  With this comes the right to play in a full fixture of trophy competitions, to maintain a CONGU handicap which is recognised at clubs all over the world and the opportunity to represent the Club in a number of affiliated league matches.   The new benefits include golf insurance, and money off each full price round of golf throughout the year.

We haven’t increased our prices for three years and now we are offering these long term discounts for regular players who join the Club.  With £2 off 18 hole rounds and £1 off 9 hole rounds it means the more you play, the more you save, and the Club Membership fee will soon be a distant memory!

Warley Woods prides itself in being a friendly golf course with a relaxed dress code.  As a 9 hole course it is often popular with beginners and for a game after work.  Greg Lynch, the golf professional, has a reputation for quality tuition and runs regular group training days which help keep learning costs down and gives golfers the chance to meet new golfers to play with.    Club Hire is available if people are unsure if golf is for them, but want to give it a try and there are buggies for hire if the hills are daunting.

Warley Woods Community Trust is a registered charity and all the income from golf, and other charitable sources goes back into maintaining and improving the site for all.
