Vacancy for a Greenkeeper-groundperson

Warley Woods Community Trust is looking for a qualified green keeper to join its small team who will be able to take a full role in the maintenance of the whole site.  Because the golf course is such an important part of the site, it is essential the successful candidate has substantial green keeping experience but there are other aspects to this role in maintaining a public park and they will need general horticultural experience as well.

You will have at least 2/3 years minimum previous experience of Golf Course Grounds Maintenance and hold a minimum NVQ level 2 in Sportsturf. PA1 and PA 6 Spraying, chain saw and first aid qualifications would be desirable.  You would need to be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of turf machinery, maintenance and current Health & Safety practices, regulations

Working within a small team, it will be necessary to work regular weekends and some bank holiday.  Salary would be between £14,500 and £17,000 depending on experience. 37 hour week, plus 3 hours paid breaks, 5% pension and 32 days holiday.

In being involved with the Community Trust the successful candidate will be welcomed into a small team which cares for its employees and will be looking after a site which forms the heart of the local community.  For more information download the information pack
