Humphry Repton is the famous designer of the landscape at Warley Woods. He created it for Samuel Galton Junior who owned the farm land and wanted to create a pleasure ground to surround a new house. He was particular famous for showing his customers his design ideas bound as a red leather book. The “Repton’s Red Book” for Warley Park is kept at Smethwick Library. The Community Trust has a copy which people can look at.
