Warley Woods, managed by Warley Woods Community Trust, is among 2,127 parks and green spaces that will today receive a prestigious Green Flag Award.  This international award, celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year, is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.

We are absolutely delighted to receive a Green Flag Award for the thirteenth year running from Keep Britain Tidy. This Award recognises and highlights that local people are benefiting from a green space of the very highest quality.  The Community Trust has been managing the site for 16 years now and its staff and volunteers are very proud of its track record of high standards.  Thank you to everyone who helps us achieve this, whether as a volunteer, or a financial supporter.

Commenting on the news that Warley Woods has achieved the Green Flag Award standard, Green Flag Award Scheme Manager Paul Todd said: “I would like to congratulate everyone involved in making Warley Woods worthy of a Green Flag Award.”

“To meet the requirements demanded by the scheme is testament to the hard work of the staff and volunteers who do so much to ensure that Warley Woods has high standards of horticulture, safety and environmental management and is a place that supports people to live healthy lives.”

If you love your Green Flag Award Winning Park, then why not make a donation to help keep it looking good.  For example, it costs the charity over £8,000 a year just to empty the bins.  If you use them, please could you play your part and help.  We can't do it without you.
