As outdoor sport was allowed to restart on 29th March we have reopened the golf course, Pavilion and car park at Lightwoods Hill.

Golf bookings can be made on 0121 429 2440 and bookings are absolutely essential.  You cannot just turn up and play.  These are the rules that allow us to reopen and we are very busy so we are unlikely to be able to fit in players who have not booked.

Volunteer maintenance groups restarted on Monday 5th April.  You no longer need to book in with us in advance.  Please just come and join us.  (There are slightly different arrangements for Wild Warley volunteering sessions which still need to be booked)

The cafe, managed by Anajen, reopened fully on 17th May and is allowed to serve customers inside (up to six individuals or two households).

We have returned to the way things were during the autumn/winter when we were open last.  Toilets are available to everyone (masks need to be worn inside the building).  The Shop is open (one customer at a time and a mask must be worn.)  We are on summer hours though, with car park and building open until 7pm in the week and 6pm at the weekends.  We have a new autogate installed on the car park gate, which we hope will be much more reliable than its predecessor.

There are rules for golf play which can be found on this page and anyone coming to play golf should make sure they know the current rules.

While people have been using the golf course for walking and play during lockdown, this is no longer possible now the golf course has reopened.

Thank you for your support throughout the last 15 months.  We have appreciated every piece of kindness, every donation and every moment of forbearance while things have not been as any of us would have wished.

All the staff look forward to seeing golf customers and park visitors again, even if still at a distance for a while longer.
Thank you.
