Here are some of the organised activities that take place in the Woods: Golfing Warley Woods has a popular 9-hole golf course that is widely used by local golfers. If you want to get or maintain a handicap or take part in their competitions (or get their green fee discount), then you may wish to join. You do not have to be a member to play at Warley Woods – we are open to all. Walking With trails winding through impressive woodlands and open meadows, Warley Woods is a popular place for people to ramble and enjoy the peace and tranquillity that is offered by this green space nestled in a heavily urbanised area. Come and see for yourself the beauty that is Warley Woods and reap the health benefits of rambling. There are regular health walks in the woods organised by Sandwell Stride. These are held every Thursday morning. Meet at the Pavilion at 10 am. Running Warley Woods Pacers train in Warley Woods and meet at the Woods for their long runs. See more information on their own website. They are affiliated with UK athletics and are one of the Trust’s longest standing fitness partners. Fitness Many fitness professionals book space in Warley Woods to run their own sessions. These include bootcamp-type training sessions, Nordic Walking, Buggy beat and yoga. Have a look at the large notice board on the side of the Pavilion to see what is on offer at the moment. You can use the outdoor gym equipment: there are four items of cardio vascular equipment in the former Rose Garden and a collection of strengthening machines between the play area and the adult swings.
