Wild Warley Volunteering

Love Warley Woods and its Nature? You may be who we are looking for!

Are you interested in learning habitat management skills whilst improving our woods?

Wild Warley is looking for interested individuals to help with habitat improvement works.

Activities we will be carrying out will include, but are not limited to:

  • Woodland Thinning (Autumn/Winter)
  • Invasive Species Control (Year Round)
  • Woodland Restoration (Autumn/Winter/Spring)
  • Tree Planting (Winter/Spring)
  • Ground Flora Planting (Winter/Spring)
  • Seed Collection & Dispersal (Summer/Autumn)
  • Hay Meadow Management (Summer)
  • Grassland Improvement (Summer)
  • Meadow Creation (Summer)

During volunteering sessions, you will learn how to carry out habitat management tasks, whilst also learning the reasoning behind it and any associated identification skills.

To register your interest please email me at:

  • [email protected]

You can then join the mailing list and be sent details of upcoming volunteer sessions.

No previous experience is necessary and all equipment will be provided, all you need to do is wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear.

I hope to see you at a volunteering session soon,

Doug
