Warley Woods, managed by Warley Woods Community Trust, is celebrating after receiving a prestigious Green Flag Award.  This news that Warley Woods has achieved the accreditation, the international quality mark for parks and green spaces is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team of volunteers and staff that care for the green space so that everyone can enjoy it.

We are absolutely delighted to receive a Green Flag Award for the fifteenth year running from Keep Britain Tidy. This Award recognises and highlights that local people are benefiting from a green space of the very highest quality.  The Community Trust has been managing the site for 19 years now and its staff and volunteers are very proud of its track record of high standards.  Thank you to everyone who helps us achieve this, whether as a volunteer, or a financial supporter.

Commenting on the news that Warley Woods has achieved the Green Flag Award standard, Green Flag Award Scheme Manager Paul Todd MBE said: “I would like to congratulate everyone involved at Warley Woods in achieving a Green Flag Award. Warley Woods is a vital green space for the community in Sandwell, bringing people together and providing opportunities to lead healthy lifestyles.  The staff and volunteers do so much to ensure that they maintain the high standards of the Green Flag Award and everyone involved should feel extremely proud of their achievement."
